If you are concerned about the environment, our environmental science program includes the study of biology, business, chemistry, environmental health, and geoprocessing and soils. The Center for Environmental Analysis is active in public health and environmental research. Students and faculty conduct assessments of surface water quality, agricultural run-off, groundwater, atmospheric deposition of metals on soils and vegetation, indoor air quality, environmental pollution, and geophysical testing. Industrial and engineering technology graduates enjoy some of the highest job placement rates in the region. Modern facilities create an environment similar to those in today’s workplace.

Technology management prepares technical and management oriented professionals for employment in business, industry, education and government. Students choosing computer and multimedia graphics

study the graphic communications industry with an emphasis on multimedia graphics and electronic media design. The sustainability energy systems management option prepares you to work in facilities management, energy conservation, green manufacturing and renewable energy technology.

Our engineering physics program is nationally accredited by ABET, which is the sole accrediting body of engineering programs. Southeast is one of only 20 similarly named engineering programs nationwide with this accreditation. Our majors take the Fundamentals of Engineering www.abet.org Exam–the first step toward becoming a registered professional engineer. Engineering physics faculty have expertise in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, nuclear physics, astronomy and laser spectroscopy. We also offer a traditional physics program, from which most graduates go on to graduate schools. With a nationally recognized teacher education program, we also prepare some of the best teachers in the fields of math, science, technology and agriculture.

feed the world. The 252-acre David M. Barton Agriculture Research Center uses the latest in row crop research and beef production technology. Students apply their skills at the Charles Hutson Horticulture Greenhouse, a soil fertility laboratory, and the 110-acre rice research station that is home to the Missouri Rice Breeder.

Southeast is a designated Center of Excellence in Advanced Manufacturing Technology.

The advanced physics lab includes a wide-bandwidth spectrum analyzer and digital oscilloscope. Specialized labs for electronics, reprocessing applications, microwave spectroscopy and powder x-ray diffraction expand your opportunities.
