PD@PAE Faculty Bios Ever Chavez, founder and director of FUNDarte, acts as the managing producer and undertakes other duties such as fundraising, programming, audience development, marketing, and public relations. Ever has earned a reputation as a dynamic producer of arts events and has focused on supporting local Miami artists, artists from Cuba and the Cuban Diaspora and the GLTBQ community. He has been instrumental in production and presentation of other arts organizations including working as a production consultant with Miami Dade College Cultural Affairs for Cultura del Lobo events, Production Coordinator for Teatro Avante, Inc. and The International Hispanic Theatre Festival, and Executive Producer for Teatro El Público and Trianón Theater in Havana, Cuba. Ever is a graduate of the Institute of Communications in Rostov, Russia, and studied theater dance and event production in Cuba, with post-graduate studies in Theater, Film and Television in Havana. Ashley Dinges began her career as a journalist, working at publications including the San Jose Mercury News, Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News. In addition to these newspapers, her design and photography work has appeared in publications including Everyday with Rachael Ray and SPIN magazines, and internationally at Oxford University and the Lonely Planet 2007 European Film Festival. For the past four years she has served as the marketing and development director at Merrimack Hall Performing Arts Center. She is a current nominee for the Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional of the Year award, and is a recent graduate of Leadership Huntsville’s Connect program. David Dombrosky brings over 15 years of experience in arts management and technology to his role as Chief Marketing Officer for InstantEncore. He frequently writes and presents on the uses of technology within arts organizations, most recently for Chorus America, Opera America, National Arts Marketing Project, and Americans for the Arts. Prior to joining InstantEncore, David established an arts and technology consultancy, taught graduate courses in arts management at Carnegie Mellon University, directed Carnegie Mellon’s Center for Arts Management and Technology, and spent eight years at South Arts designing and managing regional and national programs in the visual, performing, media and literary arts. In 2007, Americans for the Arts honored his service to the field with its Emerging Leader Award. David is an alum of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a M.A. in Performance Studies and a double B.A. in Psychology and Speech Communications. John Ellis currently serves as the managing director of the Diana Wortham Theatre in Asheville, North Carolina. John is a past-president of the North Carolina Presenters Consortium, past executive committee member of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, and currently serves on the board of the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority and the Tourism Product Development Fund Committee, a program which has awarded more than $14 million in awards to develop tourism related projects. Prior to his current position, John served as the executive director of the Broome County Arts Council in upstate New York, director of the Stifel Fine Arts Center in Wheeling, WV, and manager of the Creative Arts Center at WVU in Morgantown, WV. Nikki Estes, program director at South Arts, has worked in the Atlanta nonprofit arts community for over 15 years. She joined South Arts in May 2003 and manages the grants program which awards more than $700,000 annually to approximately 200 presenters within a nine-state region. Prior to her work at South Arts, Nikki was the grants supervisor at the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs where she also assisted with the management of the youth arts program and music festivals. Nikki has served as a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts and numerous state
