44 Rocha Leads Conference in Complete Games
Senior Michael Rocha led the Big 12 with five complete games after topping New Mexico on May 13. The team captain’s five complete games is the most by a Sooner since Daniel McCutchen recorded all five of the Sooners’ complete games in 2006. With seven complete games total, Oklahoma had the most complete games in a season since the 1995 team had eight, led by Mark Redman’s eight such outings.

Five Sooners Collect Academic Honors
Senior Elliot Blair and juniors Caleb Bushyhead, Tyler Ogle and Cameron Seitzer (above) were all named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team. The first team selections were career firsts for all four Sooners, despite Bushyhead and Ogle appearing on the second team a year ago. Sophomore Jack Mayfield rounded out the 2011 honorees with his selection to the second team. In addition, the four first team members tied for second most by OU in the Big 12 era with the 2003 and 2006 squads .
MAY 5519 Ogle a Semifinalist for Johnny Bench Award
Senior and team captain Tyler Ogle was named as one of 13 semifinalists for the 2011 Johnny Bench Award. The award honors one individual as the top catcher in the collegiate ranks each year. With Ogle’s campaign, the Sooners have now had a catcher on the list in each of the last three seasons.
