Media Relations Office The department is housed in suite 2525 of the Gaylord FamilyOklahoma Memorial Stadium, nearly two miles north of the basketball arena. The office can be accessed by using Gate 7 on the north side of the stadium. Credentials All members of the media covering the game in a working capacity must seek appropriate credentials at least 24 hours in advance. Please e-mail associate director Jared Thompson with your request on company letterhead. Credentials will be mailed if courier information is provided. Credential requests will be accepted beginning Oct. 1. Interview Policies Oklahoma players and coaches are available for interviews throughout the season. Arrangements must be made through Jared Thompson in the Media Relations office at least 24 hours in advance. Home and cellular phone numbers of players and coaches will not be released. Press Row Media seating is located in the southwest corner of Lloyd Noble Center. The press row phone number is (405) 325-1024. Media Services Pregame notes, flipcards, media guides, programs and statistics will be provided to working media prior to each game. At halftime, a box score and play-by-play will also be distributed in the media work room. A complete postgame packet, consisting of game notes, halftime and final box scores, shot charts and play-by-play, will be handed out approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game. Media Will Call/Lloyd Noble Center The media entrance and the media will call is located at the south tunnel (check map on right) of the Lloyd Noble Center. Those picking up credentials will be required to furnish photo identification to the attendant. Credentials will be ready one hour prior to tipoff and are available at media will call. Media representatives are strongly encouraged to park on the south end of the arena and enter through the lower south entrance. Media Work Room The media work room is located at the top of the south tunnel, west of the ramp. Game programs, flip cards, media guides and pregame information sheets will be provided to the working media members in this area. Halftime and final box scores, postgame notes and coaches and players quotes will also be available at this location.
-%$)! 0/,)#)%3 Pregame Meals P M l Pregame meals are furnished for all credentialed media. The meal is served across the hall from the media work room. Postgame Interviews After a 15-minute cooling-off period, OU head coach Sherri Coale and requested players will attend a postgame media conference. The visiting team, unless they do not request a formal media conference, will always go first in the press conference room. The media conference will be held in the same room that the pregame meal is served, across from the media work room. Jared Thompson will take player interview requests prior to the conclusion of the game. Oklahoma and opponent locker rooms are closed to the media. Road Game Credentials Media credentials for OU road games can either be requested through OU or the opponent media relations contact. Please be specific when requesting the type of credentials needed. Radio Phone Lines Phone lines will be available and provided to Big 12 Conference opponents. In addition, Big 12 opponents will be provided with an ISDN line and Ethernet access. Please contact OU Telecommunications at (405) 325-1873 a week prior to the contest to ensure a working line if you are not a member of the Big 12 Conference. Telephone Lines A limited number of telephone lines are available in the Lloyd Noble Center media work room. Any media representative desiring a private line to be installed court side or in the media work room should contact the OU Telecommunications office at (405) 325-1873 at least five working days prior to the requested game. Parking There is reserved parking for working media in the south parking lot at the Lloyd Noble Center. No parking pass is required. Practice Schedule The OU women’s basketball team begins practice on Friday, Oct. 17. Regular season practices are irregularly scheduled on weekday afternoons at the Lloyd Noble Center. The team will generally practice on the main floor at LNC. Please contact Jared Thompson at the OU Athletics Media Relations office for practice times. Practices are open to the media and public. If you plan to attend practice, advance notice is required. Photography During regular season games, the photographers work area includes the floor area at both ends of the court, on the side opposite the team benches. Special arrangements for strobes or catwalk access must be made through both the Media Relations and Lloyd Noble Center offices. In the event of heavy requests for photo credentials for a particular game, shooting locations will be assigned. All photographs are to be used in editorial coverage and cannot be sold for any commercial enterprise benefiting the photographer. The University of Oklahoma follows NCAA and Big 12 Conference photography guidelines.
