The services of the Business Development Centre are available to business owners and prospective business owners in the cities of Lynchburg and Bedford, the towns of Altavista and Amherst, and the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell in Central Virginia.
region 2000 partnership
Virginia’s Region 2000 Partnership is a collaboration of six organizations that work together to create a supportive environment for the cities, towns, counties and businesses that make up the 2,000 square miles surrounding Lynchburg. Together, these partners work hard to expand entrepreneurship and new technologies while providing strong workforce support to new and existing companies and managing regional growth and development. The six organizations include The Economic Development Council, The Center for Advanced Engineering & Research, the Technology Council, the Young Professionals of Central Virginia, the Local Government Council and the Workforce Investment Board.

Bedford Main Street, Inc. is a non-profit organization that has helped spark economic, physical and cultural renewal in Centertown Bedford through projects such as the Bedford Farmers Market, Bedford Council for the Arts and a variety of festivals and events.
