NEWS from the Milenkovic family - August 2013 Our dear friends, Thank you for praying for us. This time, we are writing to you from our home, from Serbia. We have been back from Memphis for two weeks now and it’s really good to be back home. The nine months of life in America are over and we still have many mixed feelings. We are happy to be back home and to be surrounded by the well-known faces and family, and also to be on home ground. However, at the same time, we miss our dear friends, our family in Memphis, and we are also now in a situation where we are more worried about how things will look from now on. Sara has been recovering slowly, but she still needs many of your prayers. She was so happy that she would be able to eat “Serbian” food again, but this excitement, unfortunately, did not last long, so she still does not have any appetite. She should also go back to school and normal life soon, but things won’t go as easily. We sincerely hope that things will go better and that Sara will recover. The next check up is in September at St. Jude Hospital, and all the other check ups, once in three months, will take place in that hospital in America. We know that we still have a long way to go. Still, God has been carrying us through many situations, and He’s been giving Sara so much strength and will to look ahead and to have what is most needed in all this – hope. In the midst of this battle which takes lives so easily, we’ve had many opportunities to experience many wonderful moments and experiences that we’ll remember all our lives. So, for example, thanks to the Make a Wish organization, Sara was awarded an unforgettable Disney journey, where we had many wonderful moments and a real adventure. It was a wonderful and real few day refreshment for all of us as a family. During our life in America, God has enriched our lives with many people who will be our friends for life. We see a great mercy of God and His goodness in everything. God has taught us so much through this – how to trust Him when things don't go well and when circumstances are not as we would like them to Our dear friends in Memphis, be. He has taught us what it means to trust His Barrett and Michelle Bowden promises and His word despite our feelings which can sometimes be hard and which can tell us the opposite. We are so thankful to God for all the care that Sara has received in the St. Jude hospital in Memphis. It is such an incredible place. Many children, like Sara, come from various parts of the world, and there they receive the best care the medicine can ever give. If you'd like to support this hospital's work, please click on this link http:// t.co/V5JV3B08aN and share it with others. You will also see one of our photos there. One more time, thank you for supporting us faithfully in your prayers and practically. Without you, this life journey would be so much harder for us. Yours sincerely, Sladjan, Jaroslava, Sara, Jana & Lena
