The Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS) is the gold-standard instrument for measuring clients’ hope for their futures. Patients who completed treatment programs at Skyland Trail in 2011 demonstrated both clinically and statistically significant improvement in hope for leading happy, healthy, and productive lives.

The Medication Attitude Inventory (MAI) is an indication of how positively patients feel about taking psychiatric medications. Skyland Trail patients had a statistically and clinically significant improvement in attitudes about medications, which translates into more treatment adherence and better clinical outcomes.
