The average list price for single family home sales in January 2014 was $3,205,400 compared to $1,857,325 for January 2013, representing a 73% increase. For the three-month period from November to January 2014, the average list price was 38% higher than the same period of the prior year. Average sales price for January 2014 was $2,923,000, compared to that of November through January 2014, which was $2,799,419. Comparing January 2014 to December 2013, Malibu saw a 4% decrease in average sale price, but a 67% increase compared to same month of the prior year.
