Teulada
Approximately 70 children aged 3-12, took part in the Estiu de Jocs summer activities in Teulada and Moraira last month. Various workshops, games, competitions, outings, theatre performances, etc were organised. The sessions in Teulada were held at the Sant Vicent Ferrer school; those in Moraira took place at the Cap d'Or school. More activities are planned for August - more information is available from the town hall.

MABS fundraising events We will be presenting each month a list of known forthcoming MABS fundraisers. These will be events actually put on by MABS as well as events put on by our many supporting fundraisers in restaurants, bars and clubs around

SAMM-MABS Cancer Support Race Race date: September 25, 2011 Closing date for entry Monday, September 13, 2011 The Sailing Association Mar Menor invites boat owners to compete in a race to raise money for the MABS Cancer Support Charity to be held on the Mar Menor on September 25. The organizing authority will be the Sailing Association Mar Menor (SAMMs). The event is open to all
cruisers, dinghies and sports multihulls in two classes. Class 1: cruisers defined as a yacht, single or multihull, with fixed permanent accommodation for purpose of sleeping; Class 2: dinghies and sport multihulls defined as an open sailing boat with no fixed sleeping accommodation. The handicap system used for both classes will be Portsmouth Yardstick. Vessels without a PY Number will be
given one by the SAMM Race Committee using information from the entry form, design details and PY handicaps used by other clubs. All sponsorship monies to be in by closing date Monday, September 13.
