The Walk from the Garden & Dr Ferret’s Bad Medicine Roadshow Scottish Opera’s Connect Company – young singers and players aged between 14 and 21 – perform alongside professional singers to bring these two vibrant short operas to life in a double bill for family audiences. Adam and Eve are banished from the Garden of Eden and ready themselves to leave paradise, contemplating what they’ve lost and preparing to make their way into an unknown world. Inspired by the last section of Milton’s epic Paradise Lost, this moving and poignant piece has particular resonance in a time of growing awareness about man’s impact on the planet. Can we do anything before all is lost? Look out sneaky, snotty and silly children everywhere! Beware Dr Ferret and his gang as they sort out the good eggs from the bad. Inspired by Hilaire Belloc’s classic tales of naughty children, Dr Ferret tells the curious stories of Matilda, whose lies ignited a terrible fire, Henry King, who ate too much string, and George, a little boy who causes a lot of trouble…
