Hello mamas! So we got to thinking about the lack of applicable fashion and beauty info for mamas in this sweaty, tropical city, and so decided to create our very own downloadable mini fashion mag… And voila! Behold our very first Sassy Mama Style Guide! We’ve worked with the best local brands and some of our favourite boutiques, roped in a fab photographer and makeup artist, as well as some real life mama models and took to the streets of Tiong Bahru to make some magic happen. From outfit inspiration to a roundup of covetable accessories, a makeup guide and a sneak peek at what every mama should have in her diaper bag this summer, we’ve got you covered, stylishly. Apply tinted moisturizer (Kelly recommends Laura Mercier’s) or BB Cream to your whole face, making sure you blend around the outer edges of the face.
Lightly fill your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil in the same direction as the hair growth. To give a more natural look use a cotton bud to blend any harsh lines. Dab a light beige or white eyeshadow under the arc of your eyebrow.
Apply a concealer (Kelly uses Tarte Waterproof Concealer) under your eyes to conceal any imperfections with a dabbing or tapping motion. You can also lightly tap some concealer onto your eye-lids as this will help your eyeshadow stay longer.
Apply a soft peach or gold eyeshadow to the entire lid making sure you blend softly towards the outer edges

Swirl a peachy blush or bronzer from the apple of your cheeks in an upwards motion towards the top of your ears. This gives you a sun kissed look with some definition.

Line your lips with a Peach Lipliner, always starting from the middle and working your way towards the outer edges of the lip. To add that matte but moisturized look, apply your favourite Gloss or Lip Balm in Clear or Peach.

HERE’S A LITTLE MORE ABOUT EVERYONE WHO CHIPPED IN… Fatima Seeber The lovely Fatima is originally from Argentina, mama to a very active toddler, and creator of fab bag brand TrammaBags, a brand she has built up from scratch over the past 9 years, even having a store in Argentina. Favourite thing to do in Singapore with kids: Picnic in the Singapore Botanic Gardens with friends on a lazy Sunday afternoon to enjoy the greenery!
Karen Page Karen hails from Vancouver, Canada, and has been in Asia for over decade. She started her working life as a model and her career has taken her from the glamour of New York and Tokyo to the less glam back alleys of Taipei and Hong Kong. After having her first daughter Karen opened a maternity wear boutique in HK catering to the fashionable mother-to-be. Having recently moved to Singapore Karen is enjoying being a mama of two and taking a break from paid pursuits. She’s currently employed in a psychological battle with her daughters as to who is in charge… apparently they are! Andrea Eaton
Andrea is a full-time working mama of a very active 3 year old who insists on her full participation in his life from the moment he leaps out of bed every morning to embrace what the day has to offer. She works hard to find balance between work, family and play. It is near impossible to find time to hit the shops, so Andrea is always on the look out for fashionable finds online and Sassy Mama does a great job of keeping her current and 'in the know'! Fave place to visit with the family: Stella at Changi Coast Walk - The tables over the water and the sea breeze make it the perfect spot for a glass of wine or a cold beer. There is a sandy play area and a constant stream of planes coming in to land at Changi Airport which keeps kids entertained for hours!
Penny Askin Penny came to Singapore 8 years ago from New Zealand (originally planning to stay for just 2 years!). She loved living and working here as a teacher so much that she decided to stay and now has two beautiful children who are 4 and 2 years old. Fave thing to do in Singapore with the kids: A new recent discovery is the children's playground at Gardens by the Bay. There is something for everyone there and the surrounding views are stunning. It's a hit with all our visitors too!
Kelly Bilimoria Hailing from sunny Sydney, Kelly has travelled to over 40 countries and lived and worked as an make-up artist in Moscow, London and Singapore. She’s an expert at heat-proof makeup and knows all the best products for our sweaty climate, so we couldn’t wait to rope her in on as our resident makeup artist.
