The GOOD part I have been working in the wrong direction since the very beginning. What started as type integration slowly became random ideas and then became something that was a based on treatment, and not concept. After a long feedback session with my mentor, I am now starting AGAIN. My type integrations were not backed by the communcation tone that the firm wanted to project, my keywords were way too tangible and limiting the firm to something that every graphic design studio has and hence was not unique, and the rest were random explorations, and if it had not been put a stop to yesterday, I would still be relying on a vague hit and trial method, and never reached anywhere.

Not that I have reached somewhere now. It is very scary to see that the identity of a firm can take so long to do. But it is something that cannot be helped. Designing an identity for a design firm does not give any visual clues. One needs to look for clues in subtle ways. I know there is little time left, but I am more optimistic right now than ever before. Currently I am looking into some keywords which will form the basis of my type integration. The starry “K is the only aspect of the preceding options that I will be working with, since it has a dual intention. One it is a memorable form, and two. it is derived from Dev Kabir’s signature.
