JESSE PRUITT

Director of Basketball Operations Jesse Pruitt is in his first year as the Director of Basketball Operations after serving as the video coordinator last season. Pruitt joined the Broncos staff after serving two years as an assistant under Head Coach Greg Kamansky at Division II Cal Poly Pomona. Pruitt’s main responsibilities with the Broncos were player development, film exchange, recruiting and game preparation. He graduated from UC Davis in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in SociologyOrganizational Studies. He was a member of the Aggies team for two seasons under former UC Davis head coach Brian Fogel. Pruitt had a career-high 14 points against UC San Diego in a thrilling 2OT victory on Jan. 25, 2003. Pruitt earned three varsity letters at Upland High School. He was the team captain as a senior and led the team to a 33-2 record and a CIF Southern Section championship, a No. 4 state ranking and a No. 10 national ranking. Pruitt is a native of Pomona, Calif. He has worked at several basketball camps including: Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Fullerton, Double Pump, Maryland, Pangos All-American, Santa Clara, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine and UCLA. JOE SIARA

Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Joe Siara is in his second year as the head strength and conditioning coach for the Broncos. He works specifically with the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Siara most recently worked at the University of Florida where he completed his Master’s degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology in May of 2008. His emphasis with his master’s degree was human performance. While with the Gators he worked primarily with the men’s basketball team under the direction of Matt Herring. Herring was with the Gator basketball team when they won back-to-back national titles in 2006 and ‘07; and made the NIT Semi-Finals in 2008. Siara also aided in the development of the both the men’s and women’s golf and tennis teams. Siara, 25, is a 2006 graduate of Indiana University where he received a degree in Kinesiology. He is a 2002 graduate of Noblesville High School in Noblesville, Ind. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), a certified USA Weightlifting Sports Performance coach and is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR, AED and First Aid. He has a twin brother, Mike, who is a police officer in Indiana.

JON CLOUGH

Sr. Associate Athletic Director Jonathan Clough is in his fourth year as the Senior Associate Athletic Director with the Broncos after serving the previous seven years on the athletics staff at Santa Clara University. Clough’s main responsibilities include directly supervising six sports, including men’s basketball, men’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis and men’s and women’s water polo. Additionally, Clough serves as the tournament director for NCAA Championship events and on-campus tournaments and oversees the budget. Clough came to Santa Clara in Oct., 1999 as the department’s business manager, directing the efforts of tickets, business services, budget planning, financial analysis, capital asset purchasing and University vehicle purchasing. He was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics in 2000. Prior to Santa Clara, Clough spent three years at Stanford University in numerous capacities. As the NCAA Certification Coordinator, he managed the certification of the Stanford University Athletic Department, directing the activities of a 40-member University Certification Committee and a sixmember NCAA review team. He also served as a Championships Assistant, managing six NCAA Tournament events hosted by Stanford, including the 1997 NCAA Women’s Tennis Championships, won by Stanford. Clough also served as a marketing assistant for women’s volleyball and an event manager during his tenure with the Cardinal athletic department. Clough earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Villanova University in 1991. While in school, he was elected to the “Who’s Who in College America and was the Atlantic Men’s Intercollegiate Volleyball League MVP. Additionally, Clough was editor-in-chief of the University’s nationallyrecognized yearbook. Following graduation, he became the assistant to the athletic director at his alma mater. While there, Clough created a system for managing the competition contracts of Villanova’s 27 sports and conducted various research projects on the athletic department’s success. Clough is also a successful volleyball coach. Clough became the associate head coach for Villanova’s women’s team between 1992-95. In his final season, he and his co-workers were honored as the Big East Conference Staff of the Year. He also worked with Stanford University during the 1997 NCAA Championship season and has coached nationally-ranked Junior Olympic Volleyball Club teams since 1992. Clough resides in San Jose with his wife, Sharon. They have one child, Tyler James, born on July 1, 2009. He also holds two graduate degrees: a master’s in history from Villanova in 1995 and a master’s in sport management from Temple University in 1997.
