Kathy Wright is an event designer. She has been since long before anyone knew what an event designer was…there was even a time when she had to explain to people what she did. Kathy started life as a florist. But as she went along the path, client and after client, event planners, venue managers, person after person told her that what she was doing was different. Kathy also had an affinity for combining different textures and colors in linens to bring a ballroom or a terrace to life. She loved using theatrical lighting to make any party pop with excitement…and mainly through this incredible talent and medium of florals and event design, she loved making people happy. And still what drives her today is just the: making people happy. As an icon in the Southern California event field –and beyond – Kathy has a lot of tricks up her sleeve, and no matter the request, people are always amazed and impressed that Kathy can literally bring their boldest dreams to life for their special days.
