The Park & Recreation Commission will hold its fourth annual Community Appreciation Awards Night on Wednesday, January 30 to honor businesses, organizations and individuals who have made contributions to support its efforts. Send e-mail to Tim Short at tshort@salem.com to nominate people in any of the following categories: Innovative Program Award, Business Appreciation Award, Community Partnership Award, and Volunteer Appreciation Award. Include the name of the company or individual you would like to be considered for recognition, along with a brief explanation as to why you think they are deserving.
SUMMER EMPLOYMENT

You may register online for recreation programs by visiting salem.com and clicking on ‘Online Recreation Program Registration’ under the ‘Residents’ section. Pre-registration is encouraged for all programs. Registering in advance helps prevent programs from being unnecessarily canceled due to low enrollment.
