Green gathering
Rochester’s environmentalist community will hold “Green Drinks” at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, at Tap and Mallet, 381 Gregory Street. Green Drinks is a networking event for people in the environmental and sustainable energy fields to meet, exchange ideas, and learn about upcoming events. There will be a cash bar and organizers are asking that attendees bring an unwrapped new toy for the Pirate Toy Fund.
Labor film
The Rochester Labor Films will present “Boxcar Bertha” at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18. The Martin Scorsese film depicts a Depression-era female-led crime spree. The film follows hobo Bertha 8 CITY

and union leader Big Bill Shelly who wage a battle against the railroad’s anti-labor management. The film, which is Scorsese’s second, examines class, race, and gender in the 1930’s. It will be shown in the George Eastman House’s Dryden Theater, 900 East Avenue. Dryden ticket prices apply.
Warren wants to hear from you
Mayor-Elect Lovely Warren has assembled six focus groups to gather public input on education, public safety, economic development, work force opportunities, neighborhood quality of life, and fiscal responsibility. She encourages the public to examine the findings from these groups and to share their own thoughts. Public comment is open until 5 p.m. on Friday, December 20, at www.warrentransition.com.
