In this paper, Robbert van Ooijen, a Master student from the University of Utrecht, explores how the notion of collecting is affected in the age of streaming music. By analyzing the behavior of users of the Dutch online music platform Twones, by reviewing literature about collecting and by applying this to several online music trends this paper evaluates how collecting looks like and can be defined in the age of streaming music.
