The Need for Three Over the course of the last decade, converting the three-point shot and Robert Morris have become synonymous. Despite having its string of consecutive seasons with at least 200 three-pointers snapped at six by finishing with 197 in 2009-10, the Colonials are still near the top of the Northeast Conference over the last 10 years in three-point field goals made per game. Since the start of the 2001-02 season, the Colonials have averaged 7.07 threepointers per contest, which ranks second behind St. Francis (N.Y.), which has averaged 7.09 three-pointers a game. In 2011-12, redshirt sophomore guard Coron Williams paced Robert Morris by draining 87 three-pointers, the second highest total in the RMU single-season record book. A breakdown of the NEC’s top five teams in three-pointers made since the 200102 campaign ... Team 1. St. Francis (N.Y.) 2. Robert Morris 3. LIU Brooklyn 4. Wagner 5. Monmouth
