STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES

The Office of International Programs at Rocky Mountain College promotes intercultural understanding through the support of enrolled students seeking to study abroad, as well as support of current, incoming, and prospective international students. Students come from all over the world to study at RMC because we focus on both academic and personal development. Study abroad opens your mind to many new possibilities, adventures, and ideas. It’s fairly easy to work studying abroad into your RMC academic program. Most credits you earn while away can be transferred and counted toward your degree, and financial aid is also available for study abroad. You could go to Australia for the summer, Argentina for fall semester, spend spring semester in France, or take off to Spain for a year. There are limitless possibilities. For more information, contact international@rocky.edu or 406.657.1107

RMC Exchange Programs Rocky Mountain College has exchange agreements with schools in Sweden, Finland, Japan, Northern Ireland, the U.K., and Jordan to study a variety of subjects, including language and culture. We also work closely with the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP). The biggest advantage to studying through exchange programs is that you may use your academic scholarships on these experiences. Study Abroad Programs RMC works with students to find the right study abroad program for their interests. Students can participate in programs that are not exchanges. These are programs in which the student will still need to apply and they may use their financial aid, but instead of using their merit scholarship from RMC, they will apply for a scholarship directly from the program. Some of the programs students can use are: • International Studies Abroad - www.studiesabroad.com • Interstudy - www.interstudy.org • Globalinks Learning Abroad - www.globalinksabroad.com • Semester At Sea - www.semesteratsea.org • Go Abroad - www.goabroad.com • Study Abroad with AIFS - www.aifsabroad.com Faculty Led Programs Students can enroll in courses that have a component of travel, led by faculty for credit. An environmental science professor has taken groups to the Galapagos Islands, the Canadian Arctic, and Costa Rica; a communications studies professor has taken students to Ireland; business students have traveled to China; a philosophy professor has traveled to Israel; and an art professor has taken students to Italy.
