News... Family Services Inc. has announced the appointment of Richard Mitchell, Esq. and Peter Lumb to the Agency’s Board of Directors. Mitchell has provided extensive community leadership in numerous organizations including having served in various capacities on the boards of the American Heart Association, the Area Fund of Dutchess County, the Bardavon 1869 Opera House, United Way of Dutchess County, and Vassar Brothers Hospital Foundation, among others. Mitchell is a Managing Partner in the law firm of Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde. Lumb has served in numerous leadership positions in Dutchess County organizations, including Mill Street Loft, the Vassar-Warner Home and Foundation, Cunneen-Hackett Cultural Center, the Salt Point Cemetery Association Dutchess County Arts Council and the Dutchess Arts Fund. Lumb attended the Harvard Business School, is retired from a career in local business endeavors.

The local CPA and consulting firm of Day Seckler recently announced that Michele Foder, accountant, obtained her QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification. Riverside Bank announces the appointment of two new officers to its commercial lending team. Anthony Casillo was appointed Vice

President /Commercial Loan Officer and Cathy Ann Nicholson was appointed Assistant Treasurer/ Loan Administration Manager. Casillo comes to Riverside Bank with over 18 years of lending experience, with the past 8 years in commercial lending. His most recent position was at Hometown Bank as a Commercial Loan Officer. Casillo will be located at the bank’s Newburgh branch at 52 Route 17K and be responsible for commercial lending in the Orange and Ulster County markets. Nicholson comes to Riverside Bank with over 20 years of commercial lending experience, most recently as a Mortgage Officer with the Community Preservation Corporation. Nicholson will be located at the Poughkeepsie Corporate Headquarters on 11 Garden Street and will be responsible for managing the Commercial Lending Administration Department of the bank. TEG Federal Credit Union has named Thomas I. Gay as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Gay replaces Ronald A. Flaherty, who was promoted to President & CEO in January of 2012. Gay has over 21 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in finance and accounting. He has been with TEG since 1991, most recently serving as the Controller. Prior to that he served as the accountant. In his new position, Gay will be responsible for directing and administering the organization’s overall financial plans, business policies and accounting practices. “I am excited to take on this new challenge as the credit union continues to grow and prosper,” said Gay. “TEG is a great credit union with a strong community base and I welcome the opportunity to help guide the strategic direction and ongoing success of this company.” The Dutchess County SPCA announces the grand opening of the new DCSPCA Thrift Shoppe, the thrift shop for people.
