COME TO CURTIN! Everything you need to know about Sundays at Curtin Stadium

Haydn

From Haydn This is a wonderful time to be part of Riverview Church! God is leading us to new experiences and growing us for new possibilities. I am convinced that as we stretch out our hearts in faith and trust toward Him, He will stretch out His hand in provision and protection toward us. So, let’s ‘Come to Curtin’ together because we believe not only that God is with us but that He is for us. Haydn.

Come with us!

Where do we go?

Come with us Curtin Stadium is a modern and impressive venue approximately 5 km from Riverview’s Burswood location. It features a large Main Arena with both floor and tiered seating, a large undercover outdoor space, multi-purpose rooms, plenty of parking, plus access to extensive adjacent grassed fields. It is ideal for all our services, for cafe areas, for kids ministry and for after church get togethers.

What about my kids?

at Curtin You’ll find the Riverview Kids Hub situated in the large outdoor Undercroft adjacent to the Main Arena. Here you can check-in your child as usual, register new children, or simply ask our staff or volunteers any questions you may have. They will be ready to help in any way they can. Once your kids are checked-in, make your way to their allocated rooms, which will be open from 15 minutes prior to the start of each service. Just follow the signs and the dots on the ground to find your way. Someone will help you if you need assistance. See map on Page 19 for directions. 12

What about my kids?

Red Room In this environment Cubs (2mths-1) and Little Rangers (1-2) will have time to experience God’s love in a really practical way. This room is located to the right, through the first Riverview Kids entry. Next to this room is a pram parking location and just across the corridor is an accessible family toilet with baby changing facilities.

Blue Room Continue along the first Riverview Kids entry corridor and you’ll find the Explorers (2-Pre Kindy) room. Our little Explorers will be experiencing God’s word through teaching and play. Toilets are available within the room which provides easy and safe access for the children.

Purple Dome This is the meeting place of our Adventurers (Kindy & Pre Primary), Voyagers (Yrs 1 & 2), Pioneers (Yrs 3 & 4) and Ground Breakers (Yrs 5 & 6). After checking-in your children, continue along the external path to the second Riverview Kids entry. This environment will have space for worship, story-telling, messages and more. We will be utilising the area outside the Dome for our kids to have time together in small groups.

Family Zone Next to the Curtin Stadium Café is a space dedicated for families where you can watch the live feed of the service with your young child if they are not attending Riverview Kids.

Baby Changing There are two locations for changing a nappy. Visit the female bathroom near the Stadium Café or use the dedicated accessible family toilet. 13

Questions + Answers

Q+A Where do I sit?

Our Ushers will be available to direct you and help with any needs you may have. Seating options include any of the open floor and tiered seating sections in the Main Arena. We have allocated TLC seating, plus family seats for those with prams.

Where can I find an envelope for my giving? As you enter the Main Arena you will find brochure racks with giving envelopes and What’s On calendars. Our Information area will also have these available. Additionally, during the services, our ushers will have giving envelopes ready.

Why are the Riverview Kids age groups combined? Curtin Stadium has a limited number of rooms available for our use. We believe this presents us with an amazing opportunity for our children to gather together and experience a great sense of community. We know it is also important that they have time in smaller, age appropriate groups and all our kids environments will provide these.

Where can I get a drink of water? Our Pop-Up CafĂŠ in the Undercroft has bottled water for sale, and there is a free water fountain for public use. 16

Questions + Answers

Do you need help setting up or packing down? We need a large number of additional volunteers in a variety of areas to help with the enormous task of running weekend services at Curtin Stadium. If you can help, please complete a Connect Card or go to the volunteer page on the Riverview website to let us know your availability.

Has the Riverview Church office moved? The church office will remain in the same location at 1 Thorogood Street, Burswood and will continue to be open during the week (Monday to Thursday).

Where is Riverview High? Our Riverview High youth will continue to operate on Friday nights at our current location (1 Thorogood Street, Burswood) using Rooms 1, 2 and 3 with entry from the church office car park.

Where will Foundations or other mid-week programmes be held? Foundations will continue to be held at our Burswood location (1 Thorogood Street, Burswood). For all other programmes please make sure to check the location details as they are communicated.

When will we return to Burswood? We anticipate that we will be back in the renovated Burswood building within nine months. However, we know that construction time frames often need to extend due to unforeseen circumstances so at this stage we cannot give an exact date. 17
