Discovery CAMP

Inclusion in recreation is essential for meeting the leisure needs of individuals with disabilities. Our leaders work closely with the participant & family to provide an enriching recreation experience in the

least restrictive environment. The Riverview Parks & Recreation Department strives for each participant to function at their highest level of ability. Benefits of participation include increased

structured program that enables all children (6 years and up) with special needs in the community to become involved in recreation and playground activities, such as, swimming, crafts, singsongs, passive games, outings & special events. This summer program is based on a drop-in system. Due to limited staff numbers, we cannot facilitate one-on-one interaction at all times; however we welcome support workers. Camp Discovery will run Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. noon & 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Byron Dobson Arena June 25th-August 23rd. There is no camp on July 2nd or August 6th.
