LUANA JOYCE (SUMWALT) WADE

January 8, 2015 Luana Joyce (Sumwalt) Wade died following a short illness at Hospice House in Bloomington, IN on Thursday, January 8, 2015. She was 71. Luana was born on August 6, 1943 in Richland County, WI to Delmar and Hilda (Elliott) Sumwalt. She attended Cazenovia Grade School and was the first valedictorian at Weston High School. She also graduated from Richland County Teachers College in Richland Center, WI in 1963. She held a variety of jobs throughout the years, including working at Area 10 Agency On Aging and Kmart as a supervisor, cashier and worked the service desk. She was a professional cake dec-

orator and flower arranger, and taught cake decorating classes for years. Some of her passions included dancing, fishing, auctions and garage sales. She was very creative and loved working with her hands. Her heart was filled with love for her grandchildren. She also loved animals. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Luana is survived by her daughter, Christina Miller (Richard) of Charleston, IL and son, Jeremy Oliver (Katie) of Solsberry, IN; grandchildren, Alisa Richards, Joshua Richards, Heather Miller, Addyson Oliver, Blake Oliver; brothers and sisters, Duane Sumwalt (Emilie), Lanette Pugh (David), Luella Edwards (Ronald), Lilly Viksjo, Chester Sumwalt (Karen), Lavonne Babbitt, Lila Rikli (Curt), Dennis Sumwalt (Debbie), James Sumwalt (Diane); and many nieces and nephews. October 1, 2015 Winnifred M. ‘Winnie’ Gutweiler, 97, a longtime resident of Muscoda, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Golden Living Riverdale. She was born on February 10, 1918 the daughter of William and Clara (Phillips) Richardson. Winnie married Jarlet “Bud” Gutweiler and they resided in Muscoda. Winnie worked at Rockwell Automation for many years before her retirement. She was a member of the United Church of Muscoda Presbyterian. Winnie enjoyed visiting with family and friends, attending auctions, playing the piano and harmonica, and listening to music and dancing. Winnie

In 2015, the program’s budget of $156,167 included $68,117 from the state 85.21 allocation, $15,711 in tax levy, and passenger revenue of $70,839. For 2016 the budget will include a state allocation of $68,844, and a required county levy match of at least 20% ($13,769).
