Abstract The way to teach does not change for more than 2 thousand years. Since ancient Greece, the model of faculty lecturing his class to the students remains the same. In the last fifteen years, technology has revolutionized the world changing the way to communicate and do business. However, education remains in the same old paradigm. Why has education not evolved with technology? Did technology forget education or did education forget technology? This project analyzes the main defects of the traditional education system and show how to apply technology to improve it. Most of the technologies proposed are free, which shows that it is not necessary to invest a lot to revolutionize education. A new model of education is proposed, called Education 2.0, which is based on three pillars: content, communication and collaboration.
