(MIRANDA-RIBEIRO, 1926) Distribuição na RF AD: Ocorre em toda RFAD: a reserva, mas é pouco abundante. Distribuição geral: Bacia Amazônica do Brasil, Bolívia, Peru, Equador e Colômbia. Descrição: Machos 42-46 mm, fêmeas 48 mm. O focinho é pontiagudo, com as narinas na ponta. Possuem tubérculos cônicos proeminentes sobre os olhos e ao longo do lábio inferior. A cabeça é achatada, com uma marca triangular em relevo na parte dorsal, entre os olhos. O dorso é marromclaro a escuro com manchas mais escuras. A região inguinal é verde, podendo estender-se por toda a lateral do corpo. As coxas têm uma faixa longitudinal verde anterior e posterior, e faixas transversais alternadas negras e marrom-claras a amarelas. O ventre é branco com a região gular acinzentada. A íris é de cor creme com uma mancha vermelho-escura na parte posterior. Espécie semelhante: Não existe espécie semelhante na RFAD.
Distribution in the RFAD: Occurs throughout the reserve but is not common. General distribution: Occurs in the Amazon basin in Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. Description: Males 42-46 mm, females 48 mm. The principal distinguishing characteristics are the pointed snout with nostrils on the extremity, prominent conical tubercles over the eyes and around the lower lip, and the flattened head with a triangular mark in relief on the dorsal surface between the eyes. The dorsum is light to dark brown with darker spots. The inguinal region is green and this color may extend over the lateral surface of the body. The thighs have a longitudinal green stripe, and transverse alternating black and light-brown to yellow stripes. The belly is white and the throat region grayish. The iris is cream with dark red spots posteriorly.
História natural: Arborícolas e noturnos. A reprodução ocorre na estação chuvosa (novembro a maio), em poças grandes. Os machos vocalizam em posição vertical, com a cabeça apontando para baixo. A desova é composta por aproximadamente 550 ovos. Os girinos são verde-pálidos e possuem uma protuberância labial, que os diferencia de girinos de outras espécies na reserva.

Natural history: The species is arboreal and nocturnal. Reproduction occurs in the rainy season (November to May) in large ponds. The males call in a vertical position with the head pointing down. Clutches contain about 550 eggs. The tadpoles are pale green and have a protuberance on the lip that distinguishes them from all other species in RFAD.
