Cuprins Summary Dumitru FODOR, Ion IVANCU Consideraţii privind posibilităţile de optimizare a proceselor tehnologice de haldare a sterilului în carierele Olteniei Considerations Regarding The Possibility to Optimize The Technological Process of Waste Dumping in Oltenia Open Casts The lignite exploitation of the mining perimeters located within Oltenia mining basins is based on continuous flow-sheet, technical endowment including rotor excavators, belt conveyors, dumpers and sequipment for the useful material stockpiling. The main requirements to be considered by the applied exploitation method (safety of the personnel and equipment, minimum losses and dilution, economic efficiency, deposit and environment protection, etc.,) requires that the drafting of the technical documentation considers several geological and mining factors as well as technical and economic factors.

Carmen FLOREA, Gabriel PRAPORGESCU, Marin-Silviu NAN, Ion NEDELCU Cercetări privind realizarea unor piese de schimb pentru echipamente tehnologice, solicitate simultan la şoc şi uzare abrazivă Research Regarding The Manufacture of Reserve Parts for Technological Equipment Strained Simultaneously to Shoccks and Abrasive Use The functionally gradient material concept represents a modern idea regarding the design of a microstructure and it is related not only to materials strained to abrasive use or thermo-mechanical loads, but also to those materials strained to shocks. One of the methods of obtaining functionally gradient material, presented by this paper, is the vertical axis centrifugal moulding, i.e. an experimental method based on the adapting and realizing operational alloys strained to excessive use. The spare parts manufactured from the mentioned alloys have experimentally confirmed both their improved qualities when strained to abrasive use and shocks and highly increased reliability.

Maria LAZĂR, Ioan DUMITRESCU Impactul industriei miniere asupra mediului şi reconstrucţia ecologică a zonelor afectate Mining in The Context of Sustainable Development Useful mineral exploitation whether in underground mines or in open pits, is one of the activities with a key role in the development of modern society, in which almost half of the raw materials are mineral substances. Specific to mining activity is a temporary use of land, it having other uses during pre-and post mining. Mining activity generates an impact that affects, to a lesser or more extent, all environmental factors. Depending on a whole range of variables, the impact may be permanent or temporary, reversible or irreversible, negative or positive. On the other hand, the mining industry has on hand techniques and technologies necessary for ecological rehabilitation of degraded land and to eliminate the impact, by practicing a responsible mining, focused on three basic pillars of sustainable development: economic development, environmental protection, social protection. Research and development of advanced technologies have an important role in order to integrate the mining activity in the context of sustainable development.

Romulus Iosif SÂRBU, Diana Mihaela MARCHIŞ, Cristian POPŞOR, Corina ŞIPOT Posibilităţi de modernizare a procedeelor şi instalaţiilor de depoluare a solurilor şi apelor freatice infestate cu produse petroliere The Improvement of Technologies and Equipments for The Depollution of Soil and Underground Water Infested with Oil Products The subject of this paper is the modernization of the technolohgies for the decontamination of the soil infested with oil products by choosing the most appropriate depollution operations, by drawing up the technical execution project, by performing the proper decontamination methods and by monitoring the environment quality after decontamination.

Ioan Ovidiu MUNTEAN, Natalia CUGLEŞAN Mediul şi indicatorii dezvoltării durabile în UE şi România Environment and Sustainable Development Indicators for European Union and Romania Sustainable development represents a well defined concept and at the same time it is implemented in the economy of a state. The paper presents the main indicators of sustainable development established at European level and also the evolution of several of these values in Europe and Central Asia. In Romania, the monitoring of sustainable development indicators has began in 2000, after the Helsinki Summit that sanctioned the beginning of the accession negotiations to the EU. In the paper are analyzed several sustainable development indicators as established by the National Institute of Statistics: a) the share of total soil area affected by erosion; b) the share of forests affected by defoliation; c) wastes generated from economic activities; d) municipal wastes collected per capita; e) treatment of municipal wastes; f) recovered municipal wastes; g) greenhouse gases emissions; h) GDP/capita of the development regions; i)health expenses expressed as [%] of GDP. The analysis of the presented indicators aims at highlighting the way the EU member states transpose the environmental community acquis.

Ion FOTĂU, Leon PANĂ Reducerea consumurilor electroenergetice miniere Diminution The Mining Electroenergetic Consumptions Weight the consumption costs of electrical energy in price of coils tones are enough high. In some situations is possible reduce consumptions and implicit reduce the price per tones used optimizing techniques corresponding.

Oana DOBRE-BARON Efectele economice şi sociale ale restructurării industriei extractive din Valea Jiului Economic and Social Effects of Restructuring The Jiu Valley’s Extractive Industry Economic restructuring relies upon a well defined strategy that should observe both target goals and those measures, programs, and means needed in order to successfully carry out the goals. Nevertheless, this is not the case of the Jiu Valley’s extractive industry; accordingly, the economic and social effects of its specific condition have already appeared.
