Peters Awarded annually to senior social work majors for academic excellence. Social Work Organization Award Shadiyah S. Anderson Awarded to a senior member of the Social Work Organization for service to the organization, the University and the community. Recipient must have attained a cumulative QPA of at least 3.0.

Wilson Awarded to students majoring in sociology/anthropology who are engaged in a department-sponsored research project or who presented the results of a project off-campus at a professional conference. The students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Priority is given to seniors in the major. Sociology/Anthropology Department Senior Awards for Excellence Virginia K. Handley Awarded to graduating seniors who have achieved excellent grades, undertaken honors theses or other independent research projects and contributed to the department, the University and the community through leadership and service. George F. and Helen A. ’64 Stine Sociology Award Thelmelis Abreu Awarded to an outstanding sociology major who is a rising junior with a CGPA in the major of at least a 3.0 and an overall CGPA of 2.5.
