hile a New York winter can seem endless, only four hours away awaits the sundrenched paradise of the Dominican Republic. A welcome respite from the bitter cold, prepare to be whisked away to paradise where the only tough decisions are whether to lay out poolside or on the white sandy beach or order a pina colada or a mojito. The Dominican Republic has really set the standard of all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. Over the last decade the calm turquoise waters and alluring white sand beaches of Punta Cana has seen its share of mega resorts popping up and now accounts for 70% of all international flights to the Domincan Republic, making it easier than ever to get to from New York.
