History: Since 1994, the rich Reggae culture of the Salento region in Southern Italy has its own festival dedicated to Black urban culture, with a long break between 2000 and 2006, though. The festival‘s history is linked to the emergence of local artists like Sud Sound System. Expect some top-ranking Jamaican names on top of that. What to do: Get to know the locals‘ adaptions of Reggae and Hip Hop by not missing the shows of their beacons. Participate in the scratch contest. What not to do: Drink too much alcohol, as that might get you into trouble in the intense heat here in August.
