Ensembles The Oklahoma Youth Orchestras program is a non-profit organization that does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, disability or ability to pay.

O riginally founded in 1977 by Guy Fraser as the Guy Fraser Harrison Academy for the Performing Arts, the Oklahoma Youth Orchestras provides advanced orchestral education and performance opportunities for talented middle and high school musicians. It seeks to strengthen already existing school instrumental music programs, and to supplement instrumental music programs that do not include orchestra. It provides the opportunity for youth musicians from many different schools to work together to challenge their performance skills under the direction of respected conductors and music educators.

For the last 35 years, that focus has grown and helped to produce many talented musicians, conductors, performers, instructors and teachers that perform worldwide. The Oklahoma Youth Orchestras program support comes from a combination of sources, including participation fees, concert admission, grants, special projects, and donations.
