Push America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Charlotte, N.C., has been raising money and awareness for people with disabilities since 1977. This is the 2011 Annual Report, highlighting impact on the disabilitiy community in the last year, including photos, testimonials and financial information.
T he Push America team members have become role models for our Special Olympics cyclists. As they prepare for County Games, the athletes begin talking about the Push America team and their upcoming visit. Gear Up Florida raises more than $75,000 for people with disabilities, through team member fundraising and corporate sponsorships. Each summer, 100 undergraduate and alumni members from across the country cycle 4,000 miles from San Francisco, Seattle or Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. participating in activities and events to promote a greater understanding of people with disabilities. Through team member fundraising and corporate sponsorships, the event raises more than $500,000.
