Department of Banking Technology The department of Banking Technology invited the H R Manager of M/s. City Union Bank, M/s. Bank of Maharashtra and M/s. Lakshmi Villas Bank to place MBA and M.Com Students. Out of 29 students, 25 students were selected forplacement. À The department also facilitated other MBA, and M.Com. students to benefit from the placement activities.

Nos.) and the faculties (2 Nos.) visited SRM Universtiy, Kattankulathur, Chennai, to get a deeper insight into the Food Processing and Preservation techniques. À The students of II M.Sc. Food Science and nutrition visited the Best India Shrimp Hatchery, Koonimedu, to gain in depth knowledge on the microbiological and food safety aspects of the Hatchery industry.

Endowment Lectures Department of Tamil The School of Tamil conducted Endowment Lectures under Ramalingam-Abirami Endowment on 13th March 2009 in the Seminar Hall of School of Tamil. Dr. M.V. Pasupathi, Special Officer, U.V. Swaminatha Iyer Library, Chennai delivered Endowment Lecture on “Kumaragurubar Ilyakkiyangal”. À Muthaliandan Vaishnavism Endowment Lecture was held at Thamizh Sangam Building on Vallalar Salai (100 Feet Road), Pudhucherry by the School of Tamil on 13th March 2009. À In the Endowment Lecture, Dr. Rangachari, Former Head, Department of Philosophy, Annamalai University, Chidambaram delivered lecture on “Vaishnava Literataure”. Many devotees from Pudhucherry and neighbouring areas of Tamilnadu were present. À The School of Tamil successfully conducted a one day Endowment Lecture on “Perarizhar Anna” on 15th April 2009 in the Earth Science Seminar Hall of Pondicherry University. The seminar was conducted in commemoration of the Birth Centenary of Peraringnar Anna. Dr. K. Vezhavendan, Former Minister of Tamilnadu Government delivered the Endowment Lecture on Anna. À

The students participated in the campus placement drive organized by the Community College and around 7 students were placed in Eurekha Phorbes and 2 students in Integra software Services Pvt. Ltd. About 10 students also participated in the Personality Development WorksShop organized in the college on March 31st 2009.
