September features the work of Carol Timson Ball and Peggy Turk. Calling it “Dual Perspectives,” the two artists will paint the approximate same scene in two different mediums. Using oils and pastels, the en plein air paintings will depict Central Coast vistas, including ocean and inland.
Mallory Caloca, a recent Cal Poly graduate with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, enjoys exploring a hybrid of imagined “micro world” environments and is influenced by Cubist techniques. Her paintings are mixed media—ink, watercolor, and acrylic—on clay board, and her abstract wall sculptures use polyurethane foam and latex caulk.
