City of Poulsbo Planning & Building Newsletter August 2014 Summer 2014 brings construction around city The City’s Development Review and Building departments have been busy with a spike in new construction activity this summer. Projects current underway are:
CVS, locating at the NE corner of SR 305 and Hostmark, is a national retail/pharmacy store. The Poulsbo 14,500 square foot store will be the second CVS in Washington, and began
Mountain Aire, a preliminarily approved plat of 145 residential lots, began clearing and grading in July. Mountain Aire is located on the east of Noll Road, near the intersection of Noll and Hostmark.
Sonic, a national restaurant, will be construction in August. Located on Viking Avenue, north of SR 305, the Viking Sonic will be 2,308 square feet and feature car-hop service, as well as traditional drive -through and inside seating.

The Building Department is responsible for the review and approval of structures within the City of Poulsbo. The addition of new housing developments such as Caldart Heights and Vinland Pointe has created an influx of Single Family permits. As new houses are developed with in the coming years, the department anticipates the amount of Single Family permit applications to rise. (continue pg 2)

New Building Inspector: Scott Arcoraci I would like to introduce myself, my name is Scott Arcoraci and I was recently hired by the City of Poulsbo Building Department as a Building Inspector. I have a degree in Building Inspection Technology, 26 years of experience as a Building Inspector and hold Inspection Certifications in 11 disciplines. I recently retired from a jurisdiction in Northern California (Chico) and moved to Poulsbo with my lovely bride of 30 years, Joni, to be close to her elderly father. We truly appreciate the beauty and friendliness of Poulsbo and are very happy to call this place our home.
