Tucker-Gangnes is a product of the Portland Timbers U-23s and had a standout collegiate career at the University of Washington. He was selected by the Timbers with the No. 34 overall pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft. He played for the Timbers U-23s during the 2011 Premier Development League season, appearing in 13 matches that season, logging 1,047 minutes and scoring two goals. He finished the season ranked among team leaders in both games played and minutes.
