FC DALLAS AT PORTLAND TIMBERS SATURDAY, JUNE 15, 2013 ALL-TIME SERIES NOTES The Timbers are undefeated against FC Dallas at JELD-WEN Field, possessing a 1-0-1 record at home since 2011. Overall, the Timbers are 1-2-3 against their Western Conference foes, earning a 1-1 draw on May 8 against FC Dallas at FC Dallas Stadium in the first meeting between the sides during the 2013 season. In an exciting, first-ever meeting between FC Dallas and Portland on April 17, 2011, the Timbers scored three unanswered goals in the first 55 minutes, taking a commanding lead in just their second-ever home game at JELD-WEN Field. FC Dallas came storming back with two goals in the final 10 minutes to close the gap. Timbers goalkeeper Jake Gleeson came up with a big save on a shot from David Ferreira in the third minute of second-half stoppage time to preserve the win. In the only other matchup at JELD-WEN Field, Timbers midfielder Jack Jewsbury delivered a game-tying volley from outside the penalty box in the 79th minute in a 1-1 draw on Aug. 5, 2012. A contender for MLS Goal of the Year in 2012, Jewsbury’s strike was his second goal of the season and helped the Timbers salvage a point as FC Dallas was forced to play with 10 men for the final 38 minutes after defender Zach Loyd was issued his second yellow card of the game.

LAST TIME VS. FC DALLAS Forward Darlington Nagbe scored his third goal of the season as the Timbers earned a 1-1 draw against FC Dallas on May 8 to extend their unbeaten streak to eight games. Portland and FC Dallas, two of the top clubs in the Western Conference, entered the match each on a string of seven-match unbeaten streaks. FC Dallas trailed at home for the first time this season when Nagbe lifted the Timbers to a 1-0 lead in the 70th minute. FC Dallas then took advantage of a penalty kick awarded seven minutes later and forward Kenny Cooper converted the attempt to tie the match at 1-1.
