BLOTTER Woman steals and steals again A Silverdale woman was arrested on probable cause for theft, third degree and theft with extenuating circumstances. The 30-year-old was detained at Macy’s for the theft of $287 worth of clothes. Back in October at another location, she also stole two bottles of alcohol concealed in her purse totaling $87. A few days prior to her arrest in March, the woman admitted to deputies she stole from Winco and then again at Walmart. She recently avoided going to court because of her warrant issued on March 17.

Sex offender fails to register Nicholas James Lanning, a level two sex offender, has an arrest warrant out for failing to register as a sex offender. After he was released on March 7 from jail for failure to register, he completed paperwork stating he was homeless. According to the statement of probable cause, those who become homeless or transient must report weekly to the sheriff ’s department of the county of registration. The report must include where the transient/homeless offender stayed the last week. Since his release, Lanning has failed to check in as required under his status. His whereabouts are unknown at this time.

Woman wanders into home and refuses to leave A woman who was not invited to a Bremerton man’s home entered his detached two-car garage around 5:30 a.m. on April 5 and refused to leave. The man was packing items into his car for his newspaper delivery route when he noticed the woman walk into his garage without asking permission, states a Kitsap County Sheriff ’s Office report. The owner of the home knew the woman through a friend who had dated her, according to the report. When confronted, the woman “mumbled something about being released from the hospital” and continued walking into the garage. She sat in a chair and turned up a stereo. He told her the music would wake the children in the household, and he turned the music off. The woman turned it on again and sat “motionless” while ignoring the man’s orders to leave. When deputies arrived and attempted to talk with her, she sat still and said nothing. Even after she was told to walk outside with the deputy and was threatened with being arrested, she still made no movement. After escorting and placing her in his car, the deputy returned for the woman’s items. Upon entering the car, he found her singing to the music on the radio. She was booked for criminal trespassing, first degree with bail set at $5,000.
