Talia Walton — The Federal Way grad is currently playing her redshirt freshman season at the University of Washington and having a huge year. Last year, as a true freshman, Walton played in one game before deciding to redshirt after injuring her knee. The 6-foot-2 forward has started all 25 games this season for the Huskies and is second on the team, averaging 13.9 points and 7.1 rebounds a game. Washington is 19-8 on the season. Walton had knee surgery a month before the season started. Walton was also named the Pac-12 Talia Walton Freshman of the Week earlier this month. Walton averaged 15.5 points and seven rebounds in Washington’s weekend split with UCLA and USC on Feb. 7 and 9. It was the third Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honor for Walton, all coming during conference play. She also won the award after sweeping the Arizona and Oregon schools at home. This award is for the week of March 4-10. While at Federal Way, Walton was named the Associated Press Class 4A Washington Prep Girls Basketball Player of the Year after leading the Eagles to the state title game. Walton averaged 17 points and close to 13 rebounds per game.

Cole Dickerson — The 2010 Federal Way grad is having a standout season at the University of San Francisco. The junior is leading the Dons in both scoring and rebounding. The 6-foot-7 forward has started all 28 of the Dons’ games this year and is averaging 14.5 points and 9.3 rebounds a game. The rebounding total ranks first in the West Coast Conference and his scoring average is ninth in the league. San Francisco is 13-15 on the year and 6-9 in the West Coast Conference. Last year, Dickerson played in all 30 USF games and averaged 6.5 points and 3.6 rebounds for the Dons. Cam Schilling — The 2009 Decatur graduate recently completed his senior season at Pacific Lutheran University and led the Lutes in scoring and rebounding. Schilling averaged 15.3 points and 7.7 rebounds a game for the Lutes. He is a 6-foot-4 forward. PLU finished 8-17 this season. He was recently earned second-team, All-Northwest Conference by the league’s coaches. He finished seventh in the league in scoring and third in rebounding. Schilling finished his collegiate career with 1,043 points, which ranks 23rd on PLU’s all-time scoring list. Last season, Schilling started all 25 games and averaged 13.3 points and 6.8 rebounds for the Lutes, who were 1213. He was an honorable mention, All-Northwest Conference selection.
