AERIOSA WORKSHOP: DANCING IN THE LANDSCAPE Explore nature rhythm and movement in this all levels workshop taught by professional dancers from Aeriosa. Learn, create and share the adventure of dancing outdoors in the forest and on the beach. This workshop is for ages 12 and up; participants under 14 must attend with a guardian. We’ll start with a fun indoor dance warm up set to great music. You’ll strengthen, stretch and learn straightforward movement phrases taught by Aeriosa artists. Then we’ll take a walk with a local rainforest interpreter to identify patterns in nature and find inspiration in the surrounding flora, fauna, terrain and elemental forces. Next we’ll combine creativity and connection to the environment in a group dance session outdoors. We’ll expand the choreography from the morning warm up and explore expressive movement through guided improvisation exercises.
