The Sid Williams Theatre Thanks You For Your Support
The Sid Williams Theatre Society is a registered Canadian Charitable Organization and Non-profit Society operated by a Volunteer Board of Directors and professional management, administrative staff, and technical staff. With your support, we have been able to bring to you a caliber of theatre and an artistic talent that has gained us the recognition of being “the community cultural hub” of the Comox Valley. Our mandate is to: ★ Present top quality touring artists in the Comox Valley ★ Ensure that the theatre is accessible to local organizations by offering subsidized rents ★ Provide educational opportunities to valley youth in a professional theatre environment ★ Stimulate business and tourism in the Comox Valley through our operation of the theatre. ★ Take a leadership role in our industry Support to the theatre comes in many different forms such as grants from government, public and private foundations. However, we also get a great deal of help from the media and other local businesses in the form of sponsorship, advertising, in-kind donations of goods and services, and direct donations made by business leaders and individuals. By supporting the Sid through sponsorship, your business is helping us fulfill these important objectives. We appreciate the support you’ve given the businesses that fund the Sid Society. These businesses help make our events, and The Sid, a success!
Volunteering at the Sid Our volunteers are a vital part of the Sid experience, where we strive to provide top-notch service to our patrons every time they are at the theatre. We use volunteers in many capacities, including greeting our patrons, working in the concession, taking tickets, ushering or distribution of our promotional show material. If you are a person who enjoys the performing arts, we’d love to have you as part of our team.
