Christmas fun Crazy for craft fairs Harry Hooge Elementary held a craft fair recently. The December calendar is full of different events for this Christmas season including a craft fair and carnival at Eric Langton Elementary on Sunday.

• The Maple Ridge Concert Band presents its winter concert entitled Traditions at 7:30 p.m. at The ACT. Tickets: 604-476-2787, www.theactmapleridge.org, or at The ACT ticket centre.
December 1
• Christmas in the Park and Santa Claus Parade run from 4 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Peace Park with music on the bandstand, a live nativity scene, and the Christmas craft tent, and free photos with Santa. The parade begins at 6 p.m. The Johnson Brothers provide entertainment on the bandstand from 7:30 to 8 p.m. A Christmas Market, put on by the Maple Ridge Downtown BIA, takes place from 4 to 8 p.m. in the covered area on the north side of the park.

• A comical take on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol will be at The ACT at 4 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at The ACT Ticket Centre, at 604-476-2787, or www.theactmapleridge.org.

• Breakfast with Santa, put on by NorthRidge Foursquare Church, starts at 8 a.m. at Thomas Haney Secondary, 23000 116th Ave. There will be door prizes, facepainting, crafts, goodie bags, and more. Pre-register at online@ nrchurch.ca or call Leah Schofield at 604-323-4337. The cost is $5 per person.

• Haney Farmers Market’s Winter Market will be at Golden Ears United Church on Dewdney at 222nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Ladies Who Bake at the Church have Christmas baking. • Eric Langton PAC, 12138 Edge St., is holding a Holiday Craft Fair and Carnival between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be crafts, photos with Santa, kids craft tables, a story time, cake walk, fish pond, and much more.
