Dash to the phone and call the firemen. An agony of waiting as I hear the siren wail afar off. Just three very, very long 1ninulcs later they were there, in time, knocked down the blaze. 'Fast action! Qur Volunteer Firemen deserve our 11t vote of thanks for a big job don<: this <lry season.
