Daniel Byman, professor of the Security Studies Program at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and research director of the Daniel Byman Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution, will be the featured speaker. Rabbi Barbara Symons of Temple David, Monroeville, will lead the weekly Current Events Class, Friday, Jan. 13, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. hosted by the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh’s AgeWell’s Adult Department. The class will be held in Room 156 in the JCC’s Robinson Building, 5738 Darlington Road, Squirrel Hill. There is no fee and the program is open to the community. Chabad of the South Hills will have a Soup for the Senior Soul program Wednesday, Jan. 18, noon, at 1701 McFarland Road, Mt. Lebanon.
