Ok, lets get started! I always start with my eyes because sometimes I use blacks and if my foundation is already on, I come out looking like a wild panda and then can never match up my foundation. (Now please keep in mind I am not a makeup artist, but take pride and love doing my own makeup. I may do things a bit different and “back to front” but it works for me) 1- Make sure face is clean, (You can apply a primer to start you off if you would like. A good primer smooth's your pores and minimizes the appearance of fine lines. Personally I don’t use it as it makes me sweat and get all flustered ha ha! 2- Apply Foundation to your eye lids (Wait a minute till its dry) 3- Apply your base colour first (I’m using a nice gold base) 4- Apply the lighter colour to your lid crease (This helps as a guide for when you put the darker colour on top, I use it as my sketch outline) 5- Apply the Darker colour on top what you have just done 6- Check to see if your eyes are even (Keeping in mind, that usually without doubt one eye looks better then the other, but try to even them out the best you can)

11- Apply Eyeliner to the lower lid (If you would like to also put a little bit of eyeliner on the outside of your bottom lid to give it a more dramatic look please feel free, or you can highlight under your bottom lid with the colour you applied to your top crease) 12- Fill in Eye Brow (This is a very important part of my make up, If you have a darker or filled in eye brow it kind of completes your eye look, makes things a bit more defined) 13- Mascara (Apply as little or as much as you want to top and bottom lashes, the more on your bottom lashes the more your eyes open) 14- Final Touch ups (This is where I over look and do my final touch ups, I usually go back over the creases of my eyes with a touch more colour and blend in.. Then I put my foundation on, but we can get to that next month) As I have Almond shaped eyes, I love to created a bit of depth in the outer socket of my eyes. I love a smokey look with a nice gold lid and darkened brow to make my eyes really stand out. I hope you have enjoyed this months column and look forward to chatting next month!

7- Apply some more base colour to your lid (This helps blend in your wings into your lid. You can also add a little bit of white to the corner of your lids to make them pop a little bit more) 8- Blend (Use a clean soft brush to lightly blend in outer wings. This helps for the next step. Also be careful not to travel the colour up towards your brow, your aim is to almost rub out the dark line) 9- Highlight underneath your brow (Using a clean brush, use either the same colour as your base or choose a soft cream shimmer I have made a bit of a mixture) 10- Apply your eyeliner to the top lid (Now this is a bit tricky. I am choosing to do a nice simple liner today, not to over the top but there are many different ways you can do you liner) Photo from http://becuo.com/different-eyeliner-styles-for-different-eye-shapes
