Gifts, homewares & jewellery, designed and made in Tasmania. We create unique pieces using Tasmanian Blackwood and resin that are beautiful and clever, inspired by vintage illustrations and patterns. This year Pili Pala has grown beyond all expectations. I now have a permanent stall at Salamanca Market, a new studio and a growing community of dedicated and delightful staff to help meet the increasing demand for our products. I have spent much of the year designing and prototyping
new
products
for
this
range,
re-inventing popular existing products, creating new methods and introducing new mediums to ‘push the boundries’ with our jewellery pieces. Now that my staff have seen me through a full cycle of design, prototype, adjust, tweek, cull and delivery of a new range, they summarise the range in a single short sentence; ‘If it’s easy to make, we don’t make it!’ I guess that’s why I’m so proud of the Pili Pala range; it’s designed from the ground up and I always aim to Helen Mansbridge. In this range you’ll notice that we have introduced intricately cut layers of silver metal to many of our jewellery pieces as well as solid sterling silver chains that have our own branded tags on them. We have also expanded our ever popular homewares range to include more products and additional patterns. Finally, as a cherry on top, we’ve re-branded and grown up a little bit with our style and brand presence. We have fresh new tags and packaging and a new logo with a little touch of metallic that represents the more contemporary products that we are presenting in this range.
