any registration location or withdraw online. Instructors cannot withdraw you from a class. NOTE: If the Web registration system will not allow you access to register for your initial registration, you may not be able to use the web registration for any subsequent adjustments. This would include adding, dropping or withdrawing from classes. Grading Options. You may request to audit a class or select the satisfactory/unsatisfactory option. These options must be selected at the time of registration. Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory options require dean approval. Audit courses are not COF eligible. Students who audit a class will be responsible for total tuition without the COF stipend. Course Delivery Methods PPCC Internet-based Classes / ppccConnect Classes Students can access these classes from any computer connected to the Internet, including computers on campus. Students will receive assignments, participate in threaded discussions, turn in assignments, and take examinations online. In most cases, no trips to campus are required. Most instructors establish due dates for assignments and examinations, but within those time frames students work at their own pace, with no specific times to be online. For more information, check "Distance Learning" on the PPCC website or call 719-502-3555. NOTE: PPCC Internet-based classes follow the same schedule as regular classes regarding start, end, drop and withdrawal dates. Important Facts About ppccConnect 1. Textbooks are usually the same books used for on-campus classes. All textbooks are available at the Centennial Campus bookstore or online at www.ppccbookstore.com. 2. Classes are accessed through the PPCC Portal. Click on ppccConnect in the Online Course access box. 3. PPCC Online classes are NOT self-paced. You are responsible for logging into your online class within the first three days of the semester. Most instructors will have assignments due within the first week. Hybrid Classes Hybrid, or blended, classes combine on campus class sessions with Internet-based course work or live televised lectures. In most cases students will meet once a week for lecture, hands-on learning, and face-to-face group activities. Remaining assignments will be completed online. Students can access online activities from any computer connected to the Internet, including those in campus computer labs. Sections 1H*= Classes based at Centennial Campus 2H*= Classes based at Rampart Range Campus 3H*= Classes based at Downtown Studio Campus 4H*= Classes based at Falcon Campus Interactive Television Classes Interactive Television classes are broadcast from PPCC at the same time the class is being taught on campus. 1TV students watch the class on television and call the instructor with questions or comments. The instructor will answer the question on TV. Classes are broadcast on Comcast (Channel 21). Students should be sure that they receive this Schedule Preface
