En esta occasión, seguimos a San Pedrillo, la primera estación del Parque Nacional Corcovado. Caminamos a través del bosque lluvioso con su exuberante vegetación hasta llegar a una espléndida catarata. Al regreso, nos ofrecieron un almuerzo ligero. Durante el viaje de retorno, un grupo de delfines estuvo acompañándonos, jugando cerca del bote. las 8 de la mañana nos embarcamos hacia un tour de snorkeling a la Isla de Caño con Chumi y su tripulación. él es pionero entre los tour operadores de Bahía y capitán de Ballena Aventura. La isla se encuentra a 180° al sur y a unos 47 km de Punta Uvita lo que representa un viaje de aproximadamente una hora. A una corta distancia de la isla anclamos el bote, iniciando la excursión de snorkeling por las tibias aguas, intensamente azules y transparentes. A penas nos sumergimos, nos topamos con una enorme escuela de jureles y una infinidad de exóticos peces multicolores. Tour de Snorkeling Isla del Caño y San Pedrillo

t 8 o´clock in the morning, we embarked upon a snorkeling tour to Caño Island with Chumi and his crew. He is a pioneer among the tour operators in the Bahía area, and captain of Ballena Adventure. The Island is located 180° South, and about 47 km (29.14 miles) offshore from Punta Uvita; it represents a good one-hour trip. We anchored the boat very close to shore, and started the snorkeling excursion in the lukewarm and intensely transparent blue waters. As soon as we were submerged below the surface, we came across a huge school of jacks, and an immense variety of the most colorful and exotic fish. The underwater scenery unfolded around us with caves and valleys covered by delicate corals. A large rock

seemed to move in the depth, which it turned out to be a sea turtle. The protected waters of Caño Island are home to an incredible diversity of marine flora and fauna. In this occasion, we went to San Pedrillo, that is the first station of Corcovado National Park. We hiked t hrough wthe rain forest with its lush vegetation up to a splendid waterfall. On the way back, a light lunch was offered to us. During the trip back, we enjoyed the company of a group of dolphins playing around the boat. It was a beautiful day, experiencing close contact with the nature around us. Thanks to Chumi and our knowledgeable guide Michael! n
