Greenwich House Music School (GHMS) is honored to serve our West Village community, continuing 108 years of instilling excellence to student musicians and artists. Our distinguished faculty teaches and performs at some of the world’s finest institutions and music venues. Legendary pianist German Diez serves as chair of the piano department, mentoring generations of musicians with a level of artistic merit unparalleled in the world of community music schools.

We serve our community through diverse programs, including private and group instruction in piano, violin, cello, viola, woodwinds, guitar, drums and voice, as well as early childhood programs in dance visual arts and movement. Faculty is comprised of seasoned professionals relying on a curriculum that fosters the transition from early childhood programs into private or group instruction. We encourage students to maintain a life-long connection with GHMS, returning year after year to continue their studies. We hope you will join us!
