Space Dome
A passion for putting extraordinary experience into the mundane has helped SDTL developed a business idea based around simulating experience in a spacecraft. In November 2005, SDTL started with a vision to design a state of the art motion simulator. Its first prototype was a 34-seat simulator and custom complete with a high definition motion film. The trial launch, and stage two of the project, saw over 7,500 people being
exposed to the prototype simulator at the Westgate Shopping Centre in West Auckland. The 2D test module had earned positive feedback from everyone who experienced the show. Following the test launch of the first prototype came the landing at Auckland’s Museum of Transport and Technology. This popular museum lent itself as a perfect commercial test site for SDTL to continue its development of the new commercial model Voyager II. A perfect place for a Kiwi-made time machine sitting amongst some of the oldest flying machines in the world. www.spacedome.co.nz
