SUNDAY TEA An Estate’s Sharing Session BY: LEE YANG YI The residents of Fulton estate got together for a dialogue session with their MP, Mrs. Jospehine Teo over Sunday tea in May. The informal Dialogue session served as an opportunity for residents to raise any concerns they had and to know the members of the Neighbourhood Committee (NC). The dialogue session was held on 20th May at the playground along Fulton Avenue and was graced by some 40-estate residents. Some of the key concerns raised by residents include the air pollution caused by the burning of incense at Kong Meng San temple, blockages to the drainage system and resolutions to the parking issue around the estate. Mrs. Teo also shared some of the government’s support to the elderly and plans for further upgrading and extensions to the current publictransport infrastructure that will benefit residents. The residents were pleased to hear about the government’s policies from Mrs. Teo and for the opportunity to forward their feedback, concern and ideas directly to her and the members of the NC.
